I strongly believe in the copyleft and open source movement. Therefore the licenses on this page are mostly liberal.

Website

The website code its open source under the MIT License. This license is very permissive it basically only asks for acknowledging that I build (or partly build) this page and template.

Text Content

Text content like blog posts are licensed under CC-BY-ND. The no derivatives part is added in the text realm to not allow editing my texts to give them another meaning.

Photography

Default License

Most images are licensed under CC BY-ND but you need to check for each image individually. The images can have different licenses because of a multitude or reasons. Like for example if they are posted on pages with requirements for specific licenses. Or another example would be if I do a portrait and the person photographed does not consent to Creative Commons use. Which is a totally valid request. Therefore I urge you to check the image license in the info panel or the metadata of the file.

If you cannot find any license information assume it is under copyright. Feel free to contact me in unclear cases!

How to Check an Image’s License

Each image in the gallery includes structured metadata with its license information. You can inspect the image’s EXIF data or press the i button to get detailed information about an image.
